A note on the shower

Please ensure that the bathroom door is closed when using the shower. Unfortunately, due to the location of fire alarms throughout the building, steam generated from the showers has resulted in a false alarm in the past. To avoid this happening, please ensure the bathroom door is closed. We appreciate your understanding.

A note on the kettle

Please ensure that you do not use the kettle underneath the fire alarm. The steam may activate the alarm, resulting in an evacuation.

Connect to the Wi-Fi

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available through Sky Cloud. Simply select ‘The Cloud’ from your available network list and follow the instructions on screen. Cabled internet is available in all bedrooms, guests are required to supply their own ethernet cable.

Check out

Check out is before 10.00 on the day of departure. Guests are politely asked not to delay their departure as this could cause inconvenience for others arriving after them. We also offer an express check out service. Simply drop your room key and card in the express check out box in reception or at the entrance to your building.

Luggage

If you are making the most of your time in London on the day of departure, you are welcome to leave your luggage in our storage area in reception. Please note that items are not stored in a locked room and are left at your own risk.

Room amenities

Toiletries, tea, and coffee are provided on arrival and replenished during your stay. Please contact reception if you require items over the weekend. Bottled water is provided on arrival only, however, tap water in the bedroom is drinkable.

Room cleaning

Rooms are refreshed daily, and linen changed every three days.

Laundry

The laundry room is located on the basement floor of each building. All machines operate using a mobile app which can be downloaded to your iPhone or Android phone. Details can be found in the laundry room. If you don’t have a smartphone, please ask at reception.

Breakfast

Breakfast is only available to guests who have pre-booked and is served in the Senior Common Room (SCR), Level 2, Sherfield Building (West).

No smoking

Prince’s Gardens is strictly smoke-free. This includes all bedrooms and areas in the building, and within 20-metres outside. In the event that a guest is found to be smoking in their bedroom, an additional charge will be applied to cover cleaning and restoration costs.

There are many cafés and food outlets on campus which are available to guests. Please note: the majority of our shops and outlets are fully cashless.

Eastside Restaurant and Bar located next to Prince’s Gardens. A lively, contemporary eatery offering a range of bar snacks, main meals, and drinks.

Essentials convenience store

Our convenience store has everything you will need during your stay. The shop stocks all your day-to-day goods, including world foods, toiletries, newspapers, beer, and wine, and greeting cards.

What to do in an emergency.

Fire alarm

If you hear the fire alarm, please leave the building by the nearest exit, and go to your assembly point (Prince's Gardens). The fire alarm is tested once a week. Specific information is displayed around the building.
